VF GROUP BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: TWO NEW TALENTS ARRIVE FROM COLOMBIA.
The youth project grows and strengthens with the arrival of Colombians Edward Cruz and Martin Herreño.
The VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè team has officially announced the addition of two new athletes to their cornerstone initiative, the Youth Project. The newcomers are Colombians Martin Herreño and Edward Cruz Martínez, both born in 2006. Edward Cruz Martínez, hailing from the junior team G.S. Massi – Supermercati, has achieved victories this season at the Gran Premio Città di Morbegno and the Brescia-Montemagno. The second rider, Martin Herreño, boasts six podium finishes this season and placed fourth overall at the Giro del Friuli. These promising young Colombian talents will join the team starting from the 2025 season.

This is a significant step forward in my development as a cyclist, and it is especially meaningful to undertake this journey alongside my lifelong friend Edward Cruz, with whom I have grown up since childhood, often challenging each other even as teammates.”
Mirko Rossato, the sports director responsible for the youth project, states: “We have observed these young men for some time, and after careful evaluations, we have found them to have remarkable qualities and significant room for improvement. We are very pleased they have chosen to join our team. I am convinced that these two young athletes can achieve great results in the future. Their presence is crucial for strengthening our group and nurturing young talent. We have several years ahead to work together, and I am sure we will achieve excellent results.”
