Pellizzari, Covili, and Pozzovivo Finish in the Top 10. Pellizzari Leads the Young Classification.
VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè delivered a splendid team performance in Stage Three of the Tour of Slovenia. Giulio Pellizzari secured a remarkable fifth-place finish, propelling himself to sixth place in the general classification and the lead in the young rider classification.
Martin Marcellusi displayed remarkable courage with a bold solo attack attempt 30 kilometers from the finish line. He was eventually caught on the final climb by a select group that included his teammates Pozzovivo, Pellizzari, and Covili.Following several acceleration attempts by Pellizzari, it was teammate Aleotti who emerged victorious on the final GPM before the descent that led the riders to the finish line.
Aleotti demonstrated his finishing prowess by claiming stage victory, while Pellizzari launched a chase in the reduced sprint and secured fifth place. Rounding out the team’s strong performance were Domenico Pozzovivo (7th) and Luca Covili (9th). The team currently sits in first place in the team classification.
