Stage win and jersey for Tarozzi as he conquers his first victory of the season, his second as a pro.
Manuele Tarozzi conquers the third stage of the Tour of Qinghai Lake 2024. The rider from the VF Group-Bardiani CSF-Faizanè team managed to beat a group of strong climbers in a very long sprint finish at the finish line in Guide at the end of the most demanding stage of the Chinese race, 202km long. The rider from Faenza thus conquers his second victory as a pro and gives the team its sixth success of the season.
“I am very happy with the result, I had already tried it in yesterday’s stage but I had made a tactical mistake. Today I think I ran at my best, I know Henok well and I tried to anticipate the sprint, successfully. I thank the team and my teammates for the excellent work.”
Manuele Tarozzi is the new leader of the general classification and the points classification.
