The VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè team has selected the seven cyclists who will compete in the short Chinese stage race. As in the previous edition, the first after a three-year hiatus from the calendar, the Tour of Hainan returns with five stages scheduled from August 27 to 31. This race, known for its challenging weather conditions such as intense heat, high humidity, strong sea winds, and sudden downpours, along with technically demanding routes, promises to be thrilling and open to riders with various characteristics and ambitions.
Here are the seven athletes chosen for the Tour of Hainan: sprinters like Filippo Fiorelli, Enrico Zanoncello, Mattia Pinazzi, and Filippo Magli will take the start. The team captain and most experienced rider, Alessandro Tonelli, has also been selected. Also on the start line is Manuele Tarozzi, a stage winner during the previous Asian race at the Tour of Qinghai Lake. Completing the line-up is Valtellina climber Alessio Martinelli. The team will be led by DS Mirko Rossato from the team car.
