Federico Biagini narrowly misses the podium in the second stage, a double top 10 with Alessio Martinelli who finishes eighth. Pinarello caught 200m from the finish.
The VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè team made its mark on the second stage of the Tour Alsace, Riedisheim-Ferrette,with a particularly strong performance from its young riders in the closing stages. Alessandro Pinarello launched a daring attack with just one kilometer remaining, but the peloton was able to reel him back in.
Federico Biagini, fresh off his stage victory at the Giro della Valle d’Aosta, secured a commendable fourth place in the bunch sprint. Alessio Martinelli from Valtellina followed closely behind in eighth position. This double top 10 result for the team sees Martinelli in seventh place overall.
The VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè team now sits in second place in the team classification.
