VF GROUP BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: THIRD PLACE FOR PINARELLO AT THE RUOTA D’ORO.

Beaten in the sprint by Ermakov and Stedman, Alessandro Pinarello secures his fifth podium finish of the season.

Excellent performance by Alessandro Pinarello in this edition of the Ruota d’Oro, with the start and finish in Terranuova Bracciolini. The young 2003-born rider from VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè secures his fifth podium of the season. A solid effort as well from his teammate Matteo Scalco, who was part of the breakaway that started 13 km from the start, later caught by a group of about ten riders, including Pinarello himself. On the final climb, the group was reduced to ten riders, and despite Pinarello starting the sprint a bit early, he still managed to finish in third place.

His statements: “It was a challenging course, especially on the final climb, where there were only ten of us left to fight for it. I tried to go early in the sprint, maybe a little too soon, but I’m still happy to have finished third. This is my fifth podium of the season, and it gives me great satisfaction, also for the work done with the team. It was my last Under-23 race of the year, so I’m glad to have finished it with a good result. Now I hope to keep improving and continue to grow.”

For the team, this marks the 33rd podium of the season.
