VF GROUP BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: THE LINEUP FOR THE GIRO DELL’APPENNINO.
Here are the 7 chosen athletes for the Giro dell'Appennino.
Tomorrow the Giro dell’Appennino kicks off. The Italian cycling classic will feature the same route as the 2023 edition, which is demanding in terms of altitude and full of ups and downs, starting from Novi Ligure and finishing in Via XX Settembre in Genoa.
The VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè team has selected the 7 athletes who will take part in the race: at the start will be the Italian Domenico Pozzovivo, who for the occasion will be awarded the Appennino d’Oro, an award given to personalities who have distinguished themselves in the race.
Alongside the experienced Italian rider will be several young talents such as Alessio Martinelli, back to racing after a short period of inactivity, the Modena cyclo-cross rider Luca Paletti and Matteo Scalco. Also at the start will be a fast wheel like Martin Marcellusi, in good condition and close to success at the Tour of Austria. Completing the line-up are Italian gravel champion Samuele Zoccarato and Alex Tolio.
