VF GROUP BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: SECOND PLACE FOR PINARELLO IN THE FINAL CLASSIFICATION AT THE TOUR OF ANTALYA.
The young 21-year-old secures the second place in the final classification. 8th place in the stage for Lorenzo Conforti.
This Turkish tour at the Tour of Antalya concludes with the podium in the final classification for the VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè. Alessandro Pinarello defends the second position in the general classification obtained in yesterday’s queen stage, also thanks to the valuable support of his teammates. In the sprint of the group, behind the winning breakaway, Lorenzo Conforti places eighth. An absolutely outstanding performance for the youngest team at the start of this Tour of Antalya, with an average age of 21 years.
Pinarello’s statements: “Today we controlled the race well, managing the breakaways together with the other teams. I thank my teammates who have been impeccable in these four stages and I especially thank the people who have been close to me, particularly my family. My next goal is to perform well in Laigueglia, the first race of the Italian calendar.”
Statements from Mirko Rossato, who, together with Luca Amoriello, directed the team in this Tour of Antalya: “It has been four difficult days, where except for the first stage, we have always faced demanding routes with lots of climbs. We are pleased with the performance of the boys and proud of their growth. We could even have won this tour if we had believed more with Pinarello, but we are happy with second place. We are on the right path to achieve other important results.”
