VF GROUP BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: SAMUELE ZOCCARATO SHINES AT THE ITALIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS.
From the start, Zoccarato, Biagini, Conforti and Tonelli attacked. Ninth place for Filippo Fiorelli.
The Italian Road Race Championships unfolded over a grueling 228km course from Florence to Sesto Fiorentino, with the riders of VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè making their presence felt from the very start.
An early breakaway group of four riders, including Samuele Zoccarato, Alessandro Tonelli, Lorenzo Conforti, and Federico Biagini, established themselves at the forefront of the race 80km into the stage.
The breakaway group fragmented and regrouped several times, but Zoccarato remained among the frontrunners until the final ascent of Monte Morello. The Venetian rider eventually succumbed to the pace set by Bettiol, Rota, and Zambanini,relinquishing his place in the breakaway after 140km of relentless effort.
Emerging from the chasing group, Fiorelli attempted to bridge the gap and finished in a commendable ninth place at the finish line in Sesto Fiorentino.
