VF GROUP BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: MANUELE TAROZZI LEADS THE DAY’S BREAKAWAY AT GP LARCIANO.
The rider from Faenza was the protagonist of the Larciano classic. Alessandro Pinarello finished in fourteenth place.
The VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè team made a strong showing at Larciano with Tarozzi and Pinarello. About twenty kilometers into the race, a breakaway group formed, which included Tarozzi. The rider from Faenza was caught on the final lap of the circuit after 100km at the front, with the peloton led by UAE Team Emirates.
Marc Hirschi then attacked and immediately gained a gap. He crested the top of the final San Baronto climb with a 24-second advantage over his closest pursuers. Alessandro Pinarello was also in the chase group and finished the race in fourteenth position, while Domenico Pozzovivo finished nineteenth.
The GP Larciano will be broadcast on RaiSport tonight at 6:25 PM.
