VF GROUP BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: GIULIO PELLIZZARI THIRD IN THE SECOND STAGE OF THE GIRO DEL FRIULI.
The Italian Rider takes third place and is second in the general classification, 2 seconds behind the new leader Aaron Dockx.
Another podium for the VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè just a few days apart. Giulio Pellizzari secures third place in the second stage of the Giro del Friuli. The Marchigiano athlete seized the right moment to catch the breakaway riders of the day and Jørgen Nordhagen in the final kilometers. Aaron Dockx’s decisive move allowed him to catch the two frontrunners and win the reduced sprint. The Vicenza native Matteo Scalco also performed well, working the entire stage in support of Pellizzari and managing to take 14th place.
These were the words of Giulio Pellizzari: ‘We were aiming a lot for this stage, and today my teammates did an amazing job. I wanted to win for them. I struggled to close in on Nordhagen, then we hesitated, which allowed Dockx to come back—perhaps the only major mistake of today. There are still two stages left, and anything can happen. We will try again until the end.’
