VF GROUP BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: Giro Next Gen, Podium Finish and Fourth Place for Paletti and Rojas
Alessandro Pinarello in Top 10 Overall and Team Classification Victory. Rossato: "We have shown we are competitive."
The team displayed remarkable prowess at the Giro Next Gen, securing third and fourth place in the final stage in Forlimpopoli. A decisive move came with an attack by Modenese rider Luca Paletti, who joined a breakaway group of 12 riders. Chilean teammate Vicente Rojas subsequently joined the leading pack after a relentless chase.
In the final sprint, Brennan emerged victorious, while Paletti claimed third place and Rojas finished fourth. VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè clinched the team classification victory and secured a top-10 overall finish with Pinarello (9th). It is noteworthy that the team achieved three podium finishes, with Conforti securing one and Paletti securing the other two.
Mirko Rossato, DS for the Under23 team, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance: “We have proven that we can compete with the best development teams in the world. I am proud of the boys, we just missed out on a victory. It’s a shame about Scalco who had to withdraw, otherwise we would have had another rider in the top 10 overall. It’s also a pity about Pinarello’s daring move at Pian della Mussa, otherwise we could have aimed for a podium finish. We have had our best Giro in the last three years and I am very proud of these young men.”
