VF GROUP BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: GIRO DELLA TOSCANA, COPPA SABATINI E TOUR OF ISTANBUL, LE FORMAZIONI.
Wednesday, September 11th, the Giro della Toscana, Thursday, September 12th, the Coppa Sabatini, and from the 12th to the 15th, the Tour of Istanbul.
A busy week for the VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè, involved in double duty between Italy and Turkey. In addition to the Italian classics, from September 12 to 15, the Tour of Istanbul will take place, a race upgraded this year to the 2.1 category. The routes are not extremely challenging, but they do present some difficulties that could create gaps or lead to reduced sprints. The selected riders are: Luca Colnaghi, Davide Gabburo, Manuele Tarozzi, Alex Tolio, Alessandro Tonelli, Luca Paletti, and Enrico Zanoncello. The team will be directed by sports directors Luca Amoriello and Mirko Rossato.
On Wednesday, September 11, the Giro di Toscana will take place, with start and finish in Pontedera, and the crucial moment will be the two climbs over Monte Serra. The selected riders are: Federico Biagini, Alessio Martinelli, Giulio Pellizzari, Alessandro Pinarello, Vicente Rojas, Domenico Pozzovivo, and Filippo Turconi.
The following day, the Coppa Sabatini will be raced over a 196.7-kilometer route, characterized by continuous ups and downs on the roads of the Valdera region. The start and finish, as usual, will be in Peccioli. Lining up: Filippo Turconi, Federico Biagini, Filippo Fiorelli, Alessio Martinelli, Filippo Magli, Alessandro Pinarello, and Martin Marcellusi. The team will be led by sports directors Roberto Reverberi and Alessandro Donati.
The Giro di Toscana will be broadcast on RaiSport delayed from 6:00 PM, while the Coppa Sabatini will be live on RaiSport starting at 2:00 PM.
