VF GROUP BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: GIRO DELL’EMILIA. POZZOVIVO AND PELLIZZARI AMONG THE BEST. ALESSIO MARTINELLI IN THE BREAKAWAY.
The Pozzovivo-Pellizzari duo finished the race with the chasing group of the best riders, while Martinelli was in the breakaway for 160 km.
A Giro dell’Emilia raced as protagonists from the very first kilometers, with Alessio Martinelli from Valtellina being one of the day’s breakaway riders. Their breakaway, in difficult weather conditions, lasted until the outskirts of Bologna, when the leading group—already reduced—caught up with them.
In the final stages, Giulio Pellizzari’s effort stood out, as he stayed with the chasing group of top riders until the penultimate lap, before experiencing a physical decline on the final lap. The first in the team order was Domenico Pozzovivo from Basilicata, who finished in 18th place, while Pellizzari took 22nd. Tadej Pogačar claimed victory on the San Luca hill.
