In the fourth and final stage of the Tour Poitou Charentes, the 173.3-kilometer Fontaine-le-Comte – Poitiers, Luca Colnaghi achieved his best placement in this race, finishing fifth in the sprint and as the best Italian in the standings. The victory went to the French sprinter Arnaud Démare. Unfortunately, the very young Filippo Turconi couldn’t hold onto the leader’s jersey in the climber’s classification, finishing the race in second place with 14 points. However, it’s still a good result for a rider in his first experience in professional races.
