First professional victory for Davide Gabburo, with Zanoncello also in the Top 10 (5th) and Tarozzi (8th).
Under relentless rain, in the fourth and final stage of the Tour of Istanbul, with the start and finish in Yenikapi, Davide Gabburo claimed his first professional victory. The cyclist from Verona, born in Nogara in 1993, won in a sprint, beating Spaniard Darder and Slovenian Finkst. The Reverberi family’s team also celebrated thanks to Zanoncello and Tarozzi, who finished fifth and eighth, respectively.
His statements: “The goal was to lead out Zanoncello for the sprint. I came out of the last corner in the very front positions and already had a good gap. I kept pushing, and on a second look, I realized they were far behind. I’m really happy because we needed a clear win. I thank the whole team.
