Pinazzi finishes just off the podium for the third time.
The eighth and final stage of the 2024 Tour de Langkawi was marked by the inevitable rain showers and the breakaway of Alex Tolio (VF Group Bardiani CSF Faizanè), who was first at the intermediate sprints in Kem Batu and Lasar Kenyalang. The group of four attackers was caught 20 km from the finish line, when the peloton set up the sprint.
Mattia Pinazzi secured another fourth place at the finish in Bintulu. For the athlete from Parma, finishing just off the podium for the third time, this marks his sixth Top 10 finish in this Tour de Langkawi. The team returns with Manuele Tarozzi’s victory in the sixth stage, 11 top 10 finishes, and a podium for 2004-born Lorenzo Conforti in the opening stage.
