VF GROUP BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: 7th PLACE FOR ALESSANDRO PINARELLO AT THE COPPA BERNOCCHI.

Breaking away at kilometer 18, Pinarello secured a Top 10 finish, as the best Italian in the rankings.

Class of 2003 Alessandro Pinarello secured seventh place at the Coppa Bernocchi after breaking away at the 18th kilometer of the race. The VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè rider joined the breakaway group, which managed to gain up to 5 minutes on the peloton.

During the final lap of the circuit, 30 km from the finish, Lemmen made a daring move, dropping Pinarello and Van Tricht. The two were soon caught by the chasers, who worked together to reel in the Dutchman, eventually catching him in the last kilometer. Pinarello finished seventh, securing another Top 10 result and being the best Italian in the standings. Additionally, he won the GPM prize.

His words: “It was an unexpected result. Of the 5 initial breakaway riders, 3 of us remained. We managed our energy very well, and the peloton gave us enough room to make it. I’m happy with the result and hope to continue on this path. I’ll also be competing in the Gran Piemonte, where I hope to do well.”
