VF GROUP BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: 2ND PLAVCE FOR LORENZO CONFORTI AT THE POREČ TROPHY.

Lorenzo Conforti narrowly misses victory at the Poreč Trophy, only surpassed by Matthew Brennan of Jumbo-Visma.

The VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè was the absolute protagonist at the Poreč Trophy in Croatia. Determined was the 2004 class Matteo Scalco to join the breakaway of the day, caught just 500m from the finish. After absorbing the breakaway, the group set up the sprint. Thanks to the help of his teammates, Lorenzo Conforti managed to clinch second place at the slightly uphill finish in Poreč.

His statements: “It was a very fast race, we had a very high average speed, three laps from the end Scalco tried to break away but unfortunately he was caught. Gabburo and Pinazzi helped me and put me in the ideal conditions to sprint, but I couldn’t pass Brennan. I think I started this season on the right foot and I will definitely do my best to win my first race as a professional.”

From March 7th to 10th, the young riders of the VF Group Bardiani-CSF Faizanè will compete at the Istrian Spring Trophy, a stage race that will also take place in Croatian territory.
