VF GROUP BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: 14th PLACE FOR GIULIO PELLIZZARI AT IL LOMBARDIA.

Prestigious result at Il Lombardia for Pellizzari in his first Monument Classic. Domenico Pozzovivo ends his career.

Giulio Pellizzari made a great impression in his debut at a Monument Classic, finishing fourteenth in the Giro di Lombardia. The young rider from the Marche region showed great tenacity, staying with the chasing group and crossing the finish line 5’45” behind the winner, Tadej Pogacar. This result allowed him to be the second-best Italian in the race, behind only Giulio Ciccone, who achieved a prestigious third place. Pellizzari expressed satisfaction with his performance, stating that he raced intelligently and managed his effort well, especially during the final climb, where he suffered from cramps but managed to give his all.

Domenico Pozzovivo has announced his final retirement from professional cycling after a 20-year career. His words: “Cycling has given me so much, but now it’s time to dedicate myself to other things, especially to my son/daughter, who will be born in December. I sincerely thank the team, my family, and all the fans who have supported me throughout these 20 years.”
