NEW RACE IN SPAIN AT VUELTA A ANDALUCIA
FIVE STAGES IN THE SCHEDULE, FROM 20 TO 24
Second stages race of the season for Bardiani-CSF. After the debut at the Tour Colombia, followed closely by Trofeo Laigueglia, the #GreenTeam is preparing to face Vuelta a Andalucia – Ruta del Sol from February 20 to 24. Stages are five, including four road races and an individual time trial (third day), with mixed and demanding routes. A first-class starting list is expected at the start.
Bardiani-CSF has chosen to line up the same riders of Trofeo Laigueglia. Vincenzo Albanese (pthe man for fast arrivals), Giovanni Carboni, Umberto Orsini, Alessandro Pessot, Lorenzo Rota (who crashed on Sunday, without heavy consequences), Alessandro Tonelli and Luca Covili who will replace Luca Wackermann, still at home for intestinal virus. DS Roberto Reverberi and Mirko Rossato will lead the team.
“ In Laigueglia we didn’t perform as we wanted and hoped” explained Reverberi “and the Vuelta a Andalucia can be a good chance to redeem. We know that the winter work was heavy and gave the boys a good base. Now we have to find rhythm in race and improve in brilliance. Andalucia won’t be a an easy race for sure, both for routes and competitors, but is the race we need to make a quality step in condition “.
