Another Top10 finish at the Tour of Slovenia with Filippo Fiorelli.
The second stage of the Giro di Slovenia, the Žalec-Rogaška Slatina of 177.9 km, also ended with a thrilling sprint finish.The star of the day was Martin Marcellusi, who joined the breakaway group and made the most of the intermediate sprints to climb into fourth place in the general classification.
Filippo Fiorelli, despite the difficulties of the route’s elevation, kept pace with the best and took a precious seventh place at the finish.
From tomorrow’s stage onwards, the real challenges will begin for the climbers and attackers, with terrain that will be more suited to their characteristics.
