THIRD PLACE FOR ROTA AT ISTRIAN SPRING TROPHY
PODIUM IN STAGE THREE
Bardiani-CSF got closed again to take the win in Croatia. In stage three of Istrian Spring Trophy, raced today from Vrsar to Oprtaly (161 km), Lorenzo Rota took the third place.
At the end of a though stage, in which Bardiani-CSF took the responsibility to set the pace, the Italian rider played his chances on the final climb with a small group of riders. In the last kilometer Austrian rider Gall (Sunweb Devo Team) attacked but Rota wasn’t able to close the gap, sprinting with Oldani (Kometa Team) for the other two places of the podium.
The #GreenTeam will have another chance to take the win tomorrow, fourth and final stage from Pazin to Umag.
