GREEN PROJECT BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: PINARELLO SECURES 10TH PLACE IN THE QUEEN STAGE OF TOUR ALSACE. ALEX TOLIO FINISHES 4TH IN THE GENERAL CLASSIFICATION AT CZECH TOUR.
Alessandro Pinarello achieved a top 10 finish at the Planche de Belles Filles. Alex Tolio secured the fourth position in the General Classification at the Czech Tour.
The second stage of the Czech Tour, which started from Olomouc and arrived in Pustevny (166.9km), was affected by bad weather, especially in the closing stages of the race. The 5-man breakaway set by the main group was ready to go and caught at the foot of the final climb. Three #greenteam riders finished in the Top 20, with Luca Covili leading them in 12th place, followed by Alex Tolio in 15th, and Riccardo Lucca in 20th. Lipowitz of Bora Hansgrohe took the overall leader’s jersey and the stage win. Alex Tolio is 4th in the standings, while Luca Covili holds the 8th position.
Simultaneously with the Czech Tour, the third stage of the Tour Alsace was run, which ended with Berwick’s victory. The #greenteam athletes approached the Planche des Belles-Filles climb in leading positions. With 7km to go, Matteo Scalco attempted a coruscating attack but was eventually caught. The last to give up was Alessandro Pinarello, who finished the stage in 10th position, taking 8th place in the general classification, 1’31” behind the new leader, Sebastian Berwick.
