GREEN PROJECT BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: MARTIN MARCELLUSI LEADS THE MOUNTAIN CLASSIFICATION AT THE TOUR DU LIMOUSIN.

Impressive performance by Martin Marcellusi, as he embarked on a solo endeavor during the penultimate climb, distancing himself from his fellow breakaway companions. However, the Roman rider was eventually reeled in with 4km remaining.

Martin Marcellusi secures the GPM jersey during the pivotal stage of the Tour du Limousin. He initiates a breakaway 30km into the race, and on the penultimate climb, he embarks on a remarkable solo endeavor, distancing himself from his fellow breakaway companions. He pushes his limits, achieving a maximum lead of one minute. Despite his splendid effort, the Roman rider is eventually reeled in with 4km left. Alex Tolio also delivers a strong performance, clinching the 15th position in the race and elevating to the 14th spot overall.

Reflecting on his performance, Marcellusi states, “When you venture into a breakaway from such a distance, you often understand that making it to the finish line is unlikely. This time, however, I held onto the belief and felt a sense of disappointment when I was caught. The climber’s jersey and the combativeness award provide some solace. This marks the first occasion I donned a leader’s jersey in my entire career, spanning from my junior years to the present. I am elated to have earned it.
