GREEN PROJECT BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: FILIPPO MAGLI NEARLY REACHES THE PODIUM AT THE ITALIAN ROAD CHAMPIONSHIP.
Green Project Bardiani-CSF Faizanè showcased a remarkable team effort, culminating in Filippo Magli's impressive fourth-place finish. Magli was part of a breakaway that formed early on in the race.
The team delivered an outstanding choral performance, attacking from the very beginning of the race and forming a breakaway with 30 km remaining. Luca Colnaghi, Manuele Tarozzi, and Filippo Magli were among those in the peloton. In the latter part of the race, Samuele Zoccarato joined the young Tuscan rider, taking over from his teammates. Despite a grueling 200 km breakaway, Magli and five other riders successfully held off the fragmented chasing group, setting the stage for a thrilling sprint in Comano Terme.
Filippo Magli expressed his satisfaction, stating, “I felt strong throughout the race. I immediately went into the breakaway because I struggle with sudden changes in pace, and I wanted to maintain a steady rhythm. My teammates played a crucial role in supporting me, and it’s thanks to them that I had the opportunity to contend for victory in the narrow sprint. Although I missed the top spot in the sprint, I felt I had good form. I gave it my all in the last two laps. This unexpected fourth-place finish at the Italian Championship is a source of great joy for me, especially considering that this is my professional season. I’ve always worked hard and given my best for the team, and I have derived several satisfactions from it, including completing my first challenging Giro d’Italia.”
