GREEN PROJECT BARDIANI-CSF FAIZANÈ: ENRICO ZANONCELLO WINS FIFTH STAGE OF THE TOUR OF QINGHAI LAKE.
Third win in 2023 for the sprinter and 10th win of the season for Green Project Bardiani-CSF Faizanè. Fifth place for Luca Colnaghi.
The #greenteam secured its 10th victory of the season. Sprinter Enrico Zanoncello, born in 1997, emerged as the clear winner in the sprint at the Qilian finish line, with significant contributions from his teammates Luca Colnaghi and Henok Mulubrhan.
Zanoncello stated: “It was an incredibly challenging race. I knew I had to conserve my energy during the initial climb. After the first KOM, the team worked together to catch the breakaway. In the final stretch, Henok and Luca Colnaghi helped me a lot. I’m thrilled with this victory. We’ve been on the verge of winning in the past four stages, but it never materialized. Finally, today, we succeeded. I extend my gratitude to my teammates.”
In addition to today’s remarkable success, Alessio Nieri maintains his dominant position in the climbers’ classification, while Henok Mulubrhan continues to lead the points classification. The Eritrean rider is also holding the fifth position in the GC.
