BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ: TIRRENO-ADRIATICO OFFICIAL LINE-UP.

25 teams, 8 stages, 7 riders per team. The Tirreno-Adriatico starts from Monday 7th of September. 8 important days of World Tour race, live on Rai2 and Eurosport.

TIRRENO-ADRIATICO, 2020 EDITION.

There will be 8 stages in a Tirreno-Adriatico that promises to be spectacular. The official start on Monday 7 September from Lido di Camaiore with a stage of 133 km with an arrival suitable for sprinters, as well as the sixth stage with finish-line in Senigallia. The following fractions will be spectacular, hard and unpredictable as usual. The third stage is the longest with its 217km that will lead to the arrival of Saturnia, while the two high-altitude stages, the fourth and fifth respectively, could be the decisive ones for climbers and general classification. The 19 World Tour teams and 6 Professional squad are at the start, for a top-level challenge.

THE LINE-UP.

7 riders at the start of the Tirreno-Adriatico, with the right mix of climbers, all-rounders and fast wheels. Giovanni Carboni will be at the start, the rider born in 1995 who wore the white jersey at the Giro 2020 for some stages. With him the “escape man” Alessandro Tonelli, also on the run at the last Milan-Sanremo and the young sprinter Giovanni Lonardi, already victorious in 2020. The climbers Daniel Savini and Francesco Romano, the rouleur Umberto Orsini and the very young neo-pro Fabio Mazzucco complete a line-up based on the team’s historic green line. In fact, the average age of the 7 athletes at the start is just over 23 years old, with 5 out of 7 of them in “white jersey age”, that means, they can be included in the special ranking. On the other hand, the last winner of the Tirreno-Adriatico 2019 points jersey, Mirco Maestri, will not be at the start, due to the shoulder injury that occurred last July. It will be up to his 7 teammates to try to bring the Bardiani CSF Faizanè jersey back to the top of the special ranking.

THE DECLARATION.

Roberto Reverberi, Team Manager and Sports Director of the Bardiani CSF Faizanè team comments: “The Tirreno-Adriatico is an event that we have always wanted to honor. In a World Tour race, the level as usual will be very high, we start aware but certainly not beaten, we will face the stages with an attacking attitude and with determination, because it is by inventing some action that we will be able to obtain results. We will be at the start with an average age of 23 years old. In a such a high-level race will be a very important test for them to evaluate their growth. “

The Tirreno-Adriatico will have a wide tv coverage, in 150 countries in the World. In Italy the race will be broadcasted by Eurosport, Raisport and Rai2 every afternoon, with finish-line at 4.00 pm every day.
