BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ: ON SATURDAY THE SECOND MONUMENT OF THE SEASON, READY TO RIDE “IL LOMBARDIA”.
On Saturday 15th of August 7 riders of the team will face the 231km of roads that from Bergamo will lead to Como. A new data on the calendar, but same road for a great show.
The 114th edition of “Il Lombardia” will take place on Saturday 15th August, it is one of the five classic monuments of cycling. The Bardiani CSF Faizanè team will be at the start and just like at the Milano-Sanremo is preparing for an attacking race as well as a strong race for the final. The 7 riders selected by the sports directors will try to compete with the best athletes in the world, both trying an attack race and holding the wheels of the best riders of the bunch.
THE LINE-UP
As usual, the Bardiani CSF Faizanè team will be at the start with a 100% Italian line-up, with an average age of 23 y.o., in order to give important opportunities to young and talented Italian riders. In fact, among the 7 riders at the start there will be 2 neo-pros, Filippo Zana and Filippo Fiorelli. The most experienced athlete in race for the team will be Manuel Senni, 28 years old and 3 participations in “Il Lombardia”. This 2020 will be the third edition for Giovanni Carboni, the 24-year-old rider from Fano is showing good growth and will be able to try to compete with the best. The line-up is completed by Daniel Savini, Francesco Romano and Luca Covili, the three climbers of the team all at their second participation in the classic of RCS sport, in this unprecedented edition of mid-August.
