BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ: GIRO DELL’APPENNINO AND TROFEO DE GASPERI THE NEXT RACES OF THE TEAM

The Giro d'Italia and the Tour of Norway ended on Sunday, but the team is ready to be back to races on Italian roads this Thursday 2nd of June with the Giro dell’Appennino and the Trofeo De Gasperi. 14 riders involved, 7 for each race.

Just 3 days off after an intense month of racing. This Thursday the race is back on the Italian roads with the double appointment with the Giro dell’Appennino and the Trofeo De Gasperi.

 

GIRO DELL’ APPENNINO

In the 83rd edition of the Giro dell’Appennino, there will be 191 km to cover, with the usual Piedmontese departure, from Novi Ligure, and the arrival of Genova. 5 GPM, with that of Madonna della Guardia located less than 30km from the finish-line. For this appointment the Sports Director Roberto Reverberi selected 7 riders, two 2 as veterans from the Giro d’Italia, but also 2 young riders who will compete in the Giro Under23 in June.

 

Filippo Zana and Luca Covili, returning from a good Giro d’Italia, will lead the #GreenTeam team, together with the Eritrean Henok Mulubrhan. With them Alessio Martinelli, who after the two Under23 victories in May, will compete with the pros, in preparation for the Giro Under23. Like him Alessio Nieri. Two other neo-pros, Omar El Gouzi and Alessandro Santaromita, complete the line-up.

 

A very young squad, with an average age of 23 years old, where the most experienced rider will be the 25-year-old Luca Covili.

TROFEO DE GASPERI

On 2 June there will also be space for the 67th Trofeo De Gasperi. Sports Director Luca Amoriello has selected 7 riders. There will be room for many young riders, such as the 2003 class, Alessandro Pinarello and Giulio Pellizzari, the 2000 class Alex Tolio, and the 1999 Luca Colnaghi, but also for more experienced athletes such as Filippo Fiorelli, Enrico Battaglin and Samuele Zoccarato, the latter returning after the injury occurred at the Giro D’Italia and the need to put new km of race pace in the legs in view of the tricolor appointment at the end of June.
