BARDIANI CSF FAIZANÈ: FROM 18TH THE TEAM WILL BE INVOLVED IN THE GIRO D’ITALIA VIRTUAL BY ENEL WITH 2 RIDERS PER STAGE.
A high level virtual race with an important beneficial implication for donating funds to the Italian Red Cross. The Bardiani CSF Faizanè team joins the RCS Sport project. The Giro Virtual will be developed over 7 stages, two per week, with two team riders who will be involved in rotation in each stage.
Waiting for the Giro d’Italia 2020 and all the official competitions suspended due to Covid-19, the Bardiani CSF Faizanè team is preparing to participate in the first Giro d’Italia Virtual by Enel, organized by RCS Sport in collaboration with Garmin,official partner also of the team led by Bruno and Roberto Reverberi.
The Giro Virtual will develop in 7 stages, with two appointments per week, starting from next Saturday 18 April. 2 athletes per team, who can be replaced at each stage and a great beneficial goal, that of raising funds for the Italian Red Cross to support the Covid-19 emergency.
The first stage will take place on Saturday 18 April, 32 km from Controguerra to Tortoreto. At the start 6 line-up. 4 World Tour Teams, the Italian National Selection, and only one Professional Team: the Bardiani CSF Faizanè. For the first stage, the team DS selected the expert team man Mirco Maestri and the young talent Nicolas Dalla Valle. Each virtual stage will feature two different athletes from the team who will compete for the team ranking.

The initiative is also open to all amateurs who will be able to participate and meet with professional riders, by registering for free on the Giro Virtual website powered by Enel, competing for the victory of the virtual pink jersey.

The Giro d’Italia Virtual by Enel will also benefit from a fundraising initiative on the portal www.retedeldono.it/giro. Throughout the period of the Giro d’Italia Virtual, until 10 May, it will be possible to donate to the Italian Red Cross which has been active on the front lines since the start of the Covid-19 alert with multiple roles, including emergency assistance , health, psychological, logistic, informative, control, screening and is carrying out many other crucial activities in the battle against this epidemic.
