First breakaway and first top 10, both of them reached in the first occasion of the Giro d'Italia n.104. Excellent first balance for Bardiani CSF Faizanè with the Sicilian rider, a surprise of the team in the 2020 Giro, which confirmed himself in a top 10 of the highest level.

Compared to last year I have gained much more confidence, in addition to the two top 10 I have achieved a victory and podiums in other races always in the sprint and therefore I know I can stay in arrivals like this. In the final, a skid by Gaviria that I feared would fall made me brake and lose contact with the athletes in front of me even though I don’t think I would have been able to jump any further positions.
